TROPICAL MODERN BY THE PACIFIC

Directed simplicity and tropical modernism are the result of our peacefully spirited, 7,000 SF beach home design. The project is still in progress as we continue to update and furnish various areas. The materials in the space are comprised of teak, other exotic woods and various stones including limestone. The atmosphere speaks the comfortable California modern aesthetic fused with tropical, Southeast or Caribbean living where the indoors resonates equally with the outdoors in a blend of rich, tropical woods, woven cane accents and natural hues that capture the shades of the beach, sky, flora and Pacific Ocean outside the home. The vision was to create a more robust design statement by adding various bespoke design elements and luxury materials without compromising durability, comfort and casual accessibility for a family with teenagers. TLK designed numerous custom pieces including office cabinetry with an integrated desk, a media console and various furniture pieces. The space speaks to the “New Traditionalist” who appreciates customs of the past, drawing inspiration from European and Colonial homes and furnishings along with contemporary aesthetics. It is ornate but nuanced, integrating modern twists to push the limits of timeless design.
