What do you remember about the office? Many are going back full time or using a more flexible hybrid model.
During the pandemic we were in the middle of a new office design without knowing what the new office story will be. The office is undeniably a place of connection, interaction and some will argue still a place of effective collaboration and fundamental innovation.
Our new minimalist office design on LA’s Pacific Coast Highway offers wide walkways, glass partitions and both private and public meeting spaces for small, large or individual work. The space was previously multiple closed units only accessible through a central courtyard. We created a more open plan with framed glass walls and doors that would better circulate light and air, and filled the space with a nod to design history in vintage sourced and influenced furnishings. Colors are inspired by local nature, muted and soft and complementary of water, clay, palms, succulents and the sun kissed California Coast. Textures and materials are comfortable and reminiscent of a home environment. The vision for the kitchen was to foster relationships and be a place of gathering and cooking with chef appliances and even kombucha and gold brew taps. As our world normalizes we hope the office, while a complex, evolving establishment still remains a place of connection, of personalities and of unforgettable action.
